BROWN BAG FORUM: Discussion around anti-LGBT protests in our churches

January 23, 2019 @ 11:00 am - 1:00 pm

Christmas has come and gone once again. Hopefully your life is back to normal and you have time to attend the upcoming Brown Bag Forum. This forum has been created to help you work with your church council to plan how to deal with anyone coming into your church and causing a disruption.

  • on January 23, 2019 from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m., you are invited to come to IMMANUEL UCC in STREAMWOOD at 1500 Old Church Rd. to discuss how to deal with/react to these intrusions in our houses of worship.

Bring your own lunch. The church will provide coffee. A free-will offering for the church will be gathered.

Det. Andrea Usry of the Lake County Sheriff’s Office will join us to discuss some best practices from a law-enforcement perspective. And your colleagues Scott Oberle, Becca Clancy and Yvette Eber will speak about how their congregations responded to these disruptions.

Please RSVP to Naomi at ilconfnaomi@gmail.com by January 22, 2019.
