Webinar: Yoga Therapy and Preventing Burnout

Aggie Stewart, a counselor and yoga therapist, on April 9 at 10:00 a.m. will discuss the role of yoga and other mindful practices in organizational wellness plans and in preventing burnout among staff.

Most people know yoga as a physical practice that emphasizes stretching. This rich, ancient practice offers so much more, including a wide range of tools beyond postures that provide an antidote to stress and support integrated mind/body/spirit health. Yoga’s flexibility and adaptability to each individual makes it accessible to all ages and levels of ability. This webinar will showcase how yoga can be integrated into practitioner’s everyday routine to prevent burnout and promote mental health and well-being in the workplace. We’ll look at how short, simple practices engaged regularly on the principle of “little and often” can help to rebalance our autonomic response, build resilience, and nourish well-being.

While focusing on the healthcare workforce, this webinar is for anyone who would like to adopt yoga as a resilience building skill. In this unprecedented and uncertain time, these skills are even more relevant and necessary to promote thriving at work and at home.
