SUMMARY:A Weekend for Peace and Justice in Israel & Palestine
DESCRIPTION:Dr. Peter Makari\, Team Leader and Area Executive for the Middle East and Europe for the UCC\, will be at First Church of Lombard the weekend of September 22 and 23. He will be part of an Interfaith Panel Discussion on the situation in Israel and Palestine on Saturday\, September 22 at 7 pm at First Church of Lombard\, UCC\, 220 S. Main St. in Lombard.\nHe will be preaching at First Church of Lombard on Sunday morning. Following worship Peter will lead an informal discussion on the more general topic of how UCC networks with missionaries and social agencies around the world to do the good work of sharing the gospel love\, understanding and grace of Jesus Christ.\nFlyer below shows other events of this weekend devoted to Israel and Palestine including a Prayer Vigil on the UN International Day of Peace from 4:30-6:00 pm.\nFor more information please contact Rev.
