SUMMARY:Off the Pews/Advocate Youth Program: Live from the Heart
DESCRIPTION: \n\nOff the pews along with Advocate Aurora Health is coordinating a group of youth interested in medical and STEM careers to participate in an interactive broadcast of a live open heart surgery on Wednesday\, July 17\, 2019 at 8:30 a.m - 12:00 noon at Stein Auditorium Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn.   Students will go into an operating room via video conference as a surgical team performs heart surgery.  Youth will be able to talk to the surgical team while they are working.\n\nThis session is designed for youth ages of 15 and above.  The event is the offspring of the partnership between Advocate Christ Medical Center and the Museum of Science and Industry committed to exposing high school and college students to medical and STEM careers.\n\nProgram is free of charge but registration is required\, contact Off the Pews at (773) 217-8177.\n\nLive from the Heart - via Video Conference Flyer
