SUMMARY:Virtual Gathering on June 27: Business Meeting of the Illinois Conference Annual Celebration
DESCRIPTION:WELCOME to the first Illinois Conference virtual Business Meeting.  As this is a virtual meeting delegates will need computer access and an email address.   Please read carefully the instructions below from our Conference President\, Rev. Chuck Maney.\n\nThere will be No Cost to register\, but registration is necessary in order to be counted for the required quorum\, and also necessary to vote.  Registration is NOW closed.\n\nRegistration packets will be sent out with specific instructions for voting.  Most important\, we will include a brief biographical sketch of our candidate for the next Conference Minister. We are arranging opportunities for Zoom “Meet and Greets” in advance of the meeting presentation.\n\nEach church is encouraged to participate. ALL clergy with standing in the IL Conference are delegates (e.g.\, retired\, co-pastors\, Commissioned Ministers) Please direct your adult and youth delegates to the IL Conference website: www.ilucc.org.\n\n\tThe By-Laws\, Article II provides:\nEvery local church which has standing in an Association of the Conference shall be entitled to representation in the Conference by one voting lay delegate\, and in addition thereto\, each such church shall be entitled to representation by one voting youth delegate (a person at least 14 years of age\, but not older than 22.) A church of 800 or more members shall have one additional delegate and one additional youth delegate.\n\tAll ordained\, commissioned and licensed ministers who have standing or recognition in an Association of the Conference shall be voting members. The members of the Conference Council shall be voting members of the Conference during their term of office.\n\n
