Staff attorney sought: Valley Immigrant Advocates (VIA) is a nonprofit located in Ottawa, Illinois providing direct legal services to immigrants in asylum, U Visa, T Visa, VAWA, TPS, removal defense, family immigration, naturalization, and DACA, from screening through case preparation and follow-up. Its small staff helps to change lives every day. VIA is seeking an additional attorney; bilingual in English and Spanish, as well as two or more years of immigration law experience, is strongly preferred. Salary $70,000-$90,000 per year, depending upon experience.
VIA is closely supported by Open Table UCC, an Open and Affirming congregation in Ottawa. Located 80 miles southwest of Chicago in Starved Rock Country, the town is the hub to 4 state parks and a nature preserve, all within 20 minutes of VIA’s downtown office.
